Ask And It Is Given by Ester and Jerry Hicks

Ask and It Is Given

If this book has come into your life, it’s probably for a reason. Ask and It Is Given changed the way I looked at my life and how I live it. I basically consider it my Bible.

The concept behind how the authors get their knowledge requires a leap of faith, so I’m asking you in advance to be open minded.

Even if you up chalk the story around the non-physical entity known as Abraham up to being a bit out there, keep listening. You really can’t deny that the content of Ask and It Is Given is compelling.

A key concept of Ask and It Is Given is that you came into this life by choice, and that the intent was to experience all of the wondrous variety that life provides with the goal of experiencing joy.

If you have a strong religious faith, this concept may make you uncomfortable as the Bible tells us that God is the creator and we are the pawns. If that is what you believe, that is fine. You can still get a lot out of Ask and It Is Given and the tools that it offers for living a better, more fulfilled existence. Just look at it as a way of getting closer to God’s purpose for you.

I was introduced to Ask and It Is Given at a time in my life when I was very open. I wanted to find my true purpose, and I wanted to figure out why I felt like there was something bigger out there for me that I hadn’t yet achieved. I will be forever grateful to Shannon Cooley for recommending it. I ended up listening to this as an audiobook, and I would recommend that as the best way to let the information flow to you.

One of the key takeaways from Ask and It Is Given is the Emotional Guidance Scale.

You already know that you should “trust your gut”. But how often do you actually do it? Once you realize that it is the most important tool and the quickest, fastest way to get what you want in life, you’ll wonder why you’ve ignored it for so long. This scale is one of the most useful tools I ever found when it comes to progressing in my own evolution.

There are many, many more books by Esther and Jerry Hicks. I have listened to a few but none had as much impact on me as Ask and It Is Given. I believe this was their first book, and the rest are just iterations of the same concepts (but maybe one of the other versions will resonate more for you).

Jerry Hicks passed away a few years ago but Esther is still alive and well. She hosts live events where you can judge for yourself whether it’s for real or not. I attended a live event last year and was prepared to be disappointed.

I was not. My instincts tell me that she is actually legit.
